Additionally, they were seeking a modernized platform that was scalable to meet current and future business needs. The Carlyle team evaluated several alternatives and selected OneStream based on its ability to unify and replace their existing financial and HR planning systems, as well as Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) for financial consolidation and reporting, and other point solutions such as account reconciliations in the future. Key requirements included improving data quality, simplifying the monthly close process, and gaining more consistent and accessible reporting for Finance and operations managers.  Financial reporting and planning data was fragmented in several different systems. Their chart of accounts in Hyperion Enterprise had ballooned out of control to support intercompany eliminations and alternate currency reporting. Additionally, cash flow reporting was done manually in Excel without the benefit of process transparency or audit controls.
